Yesterday some mysterious videos appeared on the net showing what appeared to be a quite stunning Ghostbusters game demo of some sort. It looked from the footage that the game would take a darker, more modern lean on the movies.

Many thought the footage looked to simply be some sort of Gears of War mod while others (us included) held out hope for a legit Ghostbusters game.

Turns out that British dev ZootFly (who I've never heard of before this) were indeed at work on a Ghostbusters game for the Xbox 360 and this footage is in fact 100% real in-game nerd porn.

Unfortunately, the company has run into snags acquiring all the necessary rights and the game has been put on hold indefinite hold. Sigh.

Lets hope this sees the light of day soon.
