Microsoft CES ‘07 Report

Microsoft unleashed all manner of impressive numbers at the CES and let be known their goals for the year. Below are the highlights:
- 10.4 Million 360s Have Been SOLD
- Over 5 Million Xbox Live members with a 50% attach rate per console.
- Over 100 Million individual pieces of content have been downloaded over Xbox Live
- 5.3 Games per Console Attach Rate
- 2.7 Million Gears of War have been sold in 8 Weeks
- 20 Million XBLA Downloads thus far.
- 2 Million Live messages sent (text/voice/picture)
- The Xbox 360 HD-DVD Drive is the best selling HD-DVD player on the market.
Projected Goals for 2007:
- 160+ Games in '07 such as: Lost Planet, Forza Motorsport 2, Crackdown, Mass Effect, Too Human, Bioshock, Guitar Hero 2, Assassin’s Creed, Blue Dragon, Project Gotham Racing IV, Grand Theft Auto IV, and Halo 3.
- They expect to have 6 Million XBox Live Members by June
- SHIP 13-15 Million 360's by year's end. Not sure if that includes the 10 million they have already sold/shipped or an additional 13-15 million.
- Live Anywhere will be released this summer
- IPTV by the end of the year.
On the IPTV tip Microsoft's President of Entertainment and Devices Division ,Robbie Bach, had this to say:
"Our goal is to make entertainment more personal, more interactive and more social," Bach said. "IPTV on Xbox 360 and Xbox Live are powerful examples of ways we are bringing together the worlds of gaming, TV viewing and community to make it easy for people to access and discover their favorite content and share their personal experiences with the communities they are part of."
