Nintendo to Replace Millions of Wii Straps

File this under "No Duh" but due to the high number of reports about errant Wii-motes drawing blood or busting a TV, Nintendo is going to replace 3.2 million Wii straps for anyone that bought a console before December. Which would not include me. Because I can't find one. And Nintendo won't send me one. But I'm not bitter. At all. Really.

"Nintendo will allow customers to exchange the old straps, which have a 0.024 inch diameter, for a beefed up strap that has a diameter of 0.04 inch, company spokesman Yasuhiro Minagawa said. The worldwide exchange is expected to cost the company several million dollars."

So there you go. Read the full report on Yahoo HERE.

Hopefully this will help end the nonsense! Good job on Nintendo’s part trying to put an end to it quickly.
