What’s Out This Wiik 11.20.06
So yesterday the Wii was released. And we didn’t get one. As I stated on Friday, I think camping out for consumer electronics is for dummies. Besides, Nintendo made it seem like there were enough to go around, which I wanted to believe. But now, many of those dummies who camped out are enjoying a Wii right now and I am not, so…
I went to 5 different stores in a vain attempt to acquire one but alas, was thwarted at every pass. I even went to Toys ‘R Us in Times Square foolishly thinking they may have some left. And as it happened, they did. Hundreds of them. Unfortunately, one needed to wait in a line of thousands of like minded jerks that stretched what seemed like the width of Manhattan island.
So yeah, I stand by what I said. Camping out is whack and so are big lines. And since I refuse to do either I went home empty-handed and ate tacos instead.
But for those of you who did manage to get a Wii, Zelda is obviously the pick of the week. However, a bounty of virtual console games are at your fingertips and for that reason I’m also going to go ahead and choose a decade old classic that changed the face of the biz, Super Mario 64. That’s right.
For those in need of a glossy, next-gen fix, Rainbow Six Vegas is your best bet. (Zing!)
Also, the icky Burger King games also have our interest for some creepy reason…
