Rockstar Announced today that Capcom will be releasing Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas in Japan in January 2007.

This has been in the works for a long while and it will be interesting to see how Japan recieves the game compared to GTA3 and Vice City, which were also put out by Capcom and both of which had done comparitively well over there.

GTA3 and VC did not escape mild controversey in Japan however and San Andreas will likely get a little heat as well but we imagine most Western-savvy gamers in Nippon will not give a kuso (look it up) and be happy to say "Konnichi Wa, Karu Jyonson!"
