Big PSP Takes NYC. Again.
Kotaku is reporting that the giant PSP that adorned Houston St. in New York City, which was taken down last week, has now made a semi-triumphant return.
I literally live like 3 blocks from this thing and have always thought it was kind of weird and tacky. First off, it seemed like the thing never worked, which is maybe why they took it down last week. But it had been up for over a year and I think I saw it work maybe twice.
But beyond that, there is no indication of what it is supposed to be for those not in the know. No signage whatsoever. It is really just a giant TV pasted onto a white background, WHICH, by the way, also highlights the rust streaks that tend to drip down behind it from the bolts by which it hangs.
Who knows, maybe Sony did some research and found that people have responded well to a rarely operational TV rusting and hanging weirdly in one of New York's trendiest areas.
On that note, I just got Ultimate Ghosts N' Goblins for PSP in the mail. First time I've picked up the little guy in months! Check Kotaku's report on the mammoth PSP HERE.
