Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Hits 2 Million Users.

It was announced today over the wires that Nintendo's Wi-Fi Connection, their wireless gaming service, has just exceeded 2 million users in the 9 months since it became available. They are more than happy to point out that there are more people using the DS's WiFi capabilities than there are people in over 15 states including New Mexico and Montana.

"Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection continues to set the standard for easy, fun and safe wireless gaming," says George Harrison, Nintendo of America's senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications. "Our hand-held leadership will continue unabated with today's launch of Star Fox Command and the anticipation of our upcoming Wi-Fi titles."

The release comes on the eve of Star Fox: Command's release for the DS. I have enjoyed Star Fox since Mode 7 Scaling and the Super FX chip were hot shit so I'm really looking forward to checking out the DS version. Though I really hope I can't hear Slippy's little girl voice begging me to bail him out yet again. How is that frog still on the team after so many years of bumbling?! Oofa!
