So it was announced today as PAX kicks off that Tycho and Gabe of Penny Arcade web comic fame would be getting their very own episodic game series called Penny Arcade Adventures for Windows, OSX and Linux.

The game will be whipped up by Hothead Studios best known for their work on Simpsons: Hit and Run and The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, and yes, since you asked, both of which I found to be thoroughly enjoyable romps.

The first episode, On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, has no date yet but it's sure to be full of hilarious WoW jokes.

Several episodes are planned to arrive a few times a year after the initial release. As PAX rolls on we will perhaps have more info on PA Adventures as well as other fantastic new website-based games like MySpace: Tom's Revenge and CNN.com: The Newsening.
