Miyamoto Hints At GC Remakes For Wii + Marionette

1UP reports on a translated article from the Japanese mag Nintendo Dream that features an interview with Shigeru Miyamoto where he casually mentions the possibility of bringing aging and perhaps underappreciated GameCube titles to the Wii.

"Of course you can wander into a second hand shop and buy a lot of these games still, so I don't think we can release these remakes at full price," Miyamoto said. "Since a lot of the development cost has already been accounted for, we'll be able to release these at a much more affordable price." He goes on to say "And if others also take advantage of this and release remakes, there's a high possibility of a lot of software from third parties also."

He then goes on to mention the long-rumored Marionette, a game supposedly featuring puppet-play that was years ago in the pipe for GameCube but has now apparently been shifted into Wii development.

Anyone ever seen Jollyship the Whiz-Bang? It's an entire rock opera based around pirates and puppets! Not to be missed! Though I've yet to actually see it first hand….But I hear good things!
